64-bit support

I'll keep this simple.

Approximate time frame for 64-bit support:

a) End of year

b) First half of 2009

c) Second half of 2009

d) 2010 and beyond

  • simc-pk,

We're shooting for your "B" timeframe.

    Thanks,

  • Any news on a 64-bit SPN client for BackupExec?  We are now beyond the first half of 2009.  I just replaced my servers, migrated BackupExec and cannot use SPN, much to my dismay.
  • I too would LOVE an update on this.  Perhaps a quick explanation of what is taking so long and of course another best estimate for it's date of arrival.

    Thanks.
  • For those of you that are still curious, the was an e-mail push from the Symantec Protection Network team that I just received saying support for 64-bit and Windows 2008 operating systems will arrive in September.
  • Its September, but cant find any support for 64 Bit or 2008 server yet.
    Anybody knows when?

I tried everything, but just cant get it to work.
It keeps throwing the tapedrive offline.

Thanks in advance for any answers
  • Its now October 09' and no SPN support for Backup Exec 12.5. Does anyone know when the SPN 64-bit agent will be available?
  • Hello, I don't know if this is the correct forum to coment this issue.... I have adquired the Norton Internet Security 2010 CD, and when I try to install it, I get a message that says, Runtime Error. Please I would apreciate if you can help to solve this problem, or to guide me, where I have to go, to get a solution. Thank you very much.
