OpsCenter report Job Details and volume column

How is the value in volume column calculated when used in Job Details report? I can see that with linux clients backed up to dedup the value should be multiplied with 50 to get the real data size. With windows-clients backed up to dedup the value should be multiplied with 100 instead. And if windows is backed up to tape the value is automatically based on real data.

We are using OpsCenter Analytics 7.1.0.2

  • Hi Jani

As discussed , Job details will list you the amount of data backuped up after it got deduplicated.

Hence we created a custom report  with column as "Protected Size" and "Backup Size " .

This should list the amount of data backed up before it got deduplicated and after it got deduplicated .

  • Volume column shows size of the job after deduplication. If de-dup is enabled , then this value is obviously lesser than the actual size.
