Triggers in vcs
Hi,
What are triggers in vcs?If i want to stop some alerting system in vcs do i need to off the triggers?

Triggers trigger a script at determined points, so for example a preonline trigger is triggered just before a group onlines. If you want to stop email alerts then change notifier alerts from example from Warning to error or offline the notifier resource if you don't want any emails sent.

I think we are talking two different things .. clarify what exactly you are looking for
1. How triggers work & how to set priority for triggers ?
2. How system alerts work & how to change priority of system alerts (which appear in system logs) or engine log.

You cannot change the priority of the alerts - the severity levels for each event is fixed. You can change which event are sent to email or SNMP by setting ntfr resource in ClusterService group to what severity levels you want to see - like ERROR and above
