How can I setup monitoring and alerting for VVR?
There’s no SCOM manage pack for it.
The standard tool to monitor and alert in the IS or SF/HA environments is VOM (Veritas Operations Manager). It's a free tool available from https://sort.veritas.com/vom and it's got a set of pre-defined alerts for VVR, check the User Guide from approximately this page onwards https://sort.veritas.com/public/documents/vom/7.1/windowsandunix/productguides/html/user_guide/ch13s14.htm
I am not too sure about SCOM packs, I doubt they exist but VOM provides options for both e-mail and SNMP notifications and the latter can be processed by virtually any monitoring tool.
