listener password in Veritas SF Oracle RAC

How to setup a listener password for the Veritas Oracle RAC? kindly share your views and if set the password for the listener whether it will prompt each time for the password whenever database restarts or in the same scenarios.

    Did you check the SF/RAC Installation and Configuration Guide?

    The "Installation reference" section contains a "Netlsnr agent functions" part. Here is the relevant excerpt:

    LsnrPwd
    The SF Oracle RAC encrypted password used to stop and monitor the listener. This password is set in the Listener configuration file.
    Encrypt passwords only when entering them using the command-line. Passwords must be encrypted using the SF Oracle RAC Encrypt utility.
