Public link for checking product/support life cycle for SF products..

Hello All,

Is anyone aware of latest public link which reveals when a SF product will be End of Life or End of Support ?

I knew about this link :

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/release_details.jsp?pid=15107

but above link doesn't seems to contain the updated information.... most of the prodcut versions show here "To be determined" in their End of Support dates.....

Thanks

Gaurav

  • Hi Gaurav,

I just wanted to follow up on this thread. I got an update from Tech Support that this fix is dependent on another project’s schedule and won’t be addressed immediately. In the meantime, they suggested the following workaround:

You can view the EOL announcements on the support Web site. For example:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support > Storage Foundation for UNIX/Linux > Check the box to Include PDF Manuals, Downloads and Support Forums and then search for EOL

    Hope this helps.

  • Hopefully a Symantec employee can give us guidance. You are correct: all the ones that I've tested on the Symantec support site shows "To be determined"...
  • Hi Gaurav, I heard back from Technical Support about this and they let me know that the “To be determined” message for the End of Support Life dates is a known issue.  They're currently working on a fix that will show the correct dates.

I'll update this post when I hear that this known issue is resolved. Thanks for bringing this up.

  • Thanks a lot Kimberly :-)

We are experiencing a lot of difficulties as end customer is not believeing that prodcut is EOL/EOS & everytime we are opting to open a case for such a small question..Technical support would have these unwanted cases ( you know I can feel the pain as I was on the same boat sometime back) :-)

  • I just wanted to update this thread with some news from our Engineering team that we just put up a new public website where you can check this status for both SAMG and NetBackup products:

    https://sort.symantec.com/eosl/show_matrix

This should be much easier than looking through the documents.

    Best,

    Kimberley
