  • Please try the following:

Add an alias for FQDN in /etc/hosts
    <IP-address> tdws   tdws.<domain>

Run 'installer' again, choose to 'Configure a product'.

When it gets to this point:

Querying fully qualified domain name of host "tdws" .............. fail

    Press [Return] to continue:
Unable to find Fully Qualifed Host Name for tdws!

Enter the fully qualified hostname of "tdws" or 'QUIT' to quit install.
Enter the fully qualified host name:

    Enter: tdws.<domain>

If the same problems are experienced, please install Storage Foundation 5.0MP3 RP3 as per the recommendation in this TN: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH147013
