Veritas Storage Foundation setup instructions

Hello, can someone please point me to simple setup instructions for the basics of VSF-managed RAID drives? Ideally with a set of VMs and conventional storage. Or does VSF need more exotic storage hardware? I've gone to the following link and obtained software and documentation:

    basic install/setup could be very simple and straightforward.

     

    just locate and run the product "installer" with attribute "-precheck" first.  Precheck check system (hardware, system resources, storage, OS patch levels, h/w firmware level etc) to find out if it is ready for the software to be installed on it.  Once passed "precheck", run the installer again with out "precheck" and this should install the software.  Good luck!
