Backup Exec System Restore Manager Add Command Files

I'm trying to stop the sql vss writer service before the backup begins on a workstation and restart the service after the backup completes. I created .bat files to stop the service and one to start but when i try to add them at the "Add or Remove Command Files" screen of the "create backup job wizard", i get the following error.

"Invalid URI: A port was expected because there is a colon (`:') present but the port could not be parsed."

The path to the .bat files i created is c:\script on the local server.

Any ideas?
