BESR 2010 (9.0.2.37914) Backup hangs at 95%

Dear All,

I have a backup job setup to take a backup of the System Drive and I am backing up to a second Hard Disk on another RAID. I have seen this, now, twice - the backup job hangs at 95% and just sits there.

I did not notice that this was happening, but I had noticed that the last 16 days of backups refused to start because the backup was still running.

The server is Windows 2008 R2 Server (which is supported by BESR 2010).

The amount of data on the System Drive is 17.7GB and the backup drive is 1TB, of which 50GB is used for backup data at the moment.

The backup job is configured to take a backup every Sunday at 22:00 and at every user logon or every application installation (which are both approximately "not very often").

Does anyone know what might be wrong with this or if there is a HotFix for this?

Regards,

  • Try option 2 (unregistering RPAM.DLL) from this article:

  • From what you have said, it sounds like that error may be 'cosmetic'. I've not seen it before.

As I said, there should be a fix for this issue soon anyway.

However, Recovery Point Browser gives me a selection of Recovery Points that seems to include many more recovery points than actually exist!

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Can you be more specific?
