BESR Backup job fails with Error EC8F17B7 Cannot create new recovery point set

 

BESR 2010 set limit the number of recovery point sets saved for this backup Maximum 1,

Start a new recovery point set Weekly, Around every 2 week prompt follow error when start new recovery point

Backup job fails with Error EC8F17B7: Cannot create recovery points for job： Preload (C:\) .
Error E7D1001F: Unable to write to file。
Error EBAB03F1： Not enough server storage is available to process this command.

    BESR deletes the old recovery point only after the new recovery point is complete, which means you always need 2 times the diskspace of a complete backup set. I think this is the cause for the error message.

    Hm, then I have only one idea left: Afaik you need 20-30% of free diskspace on the SOURCE volume to backup the volume successfull. There is a KB entry for that, but i can't find i at the moment.
