Custom BESR and Hidden/System Files

Hopefully this is a simple question. Would a custom BESR iso/disk automatically backup hidden and system files?

I assumed it would, but when I used the V2iBrowser to look for those files, they were missing.

Any thoughts?

    The SRD (iso/disk as you refer to it) really has no impact on this at all.

    BESR backs up at the block level so it should backup everything. What files are you referring to exactly?

    When I browse my backups using the V2i Browser it shows me all the hidden and systems files. So I conclude that the BESR Agent automatically backs them up and you don't need any custom BESR disks.

    @Markus - We have a unique situation and require a custom BESR.

    @Chris - I tell you with full embarrassment that the two machines I tested on, for whatever reason, did not have the hidden files I expected to be on the disk. The are related to our disk encryption software.

    Bottom-line, I checked another machine that did have the files...and sure enough, they were there when I checked with the V2i Browser.
