Serious Memory Leak in SSR
Every time SSR runs a backup, the "Modified" memory used increases in Windows 7 (x64) by a significant amount, and is never released. When the F&F backup runs, the Modified memory increases by about 200MB. When a disk backup runs, it increases by over 1GB. I run a disk backup every 4 hours and F&F every 15 minutes. After a few backups during the day, Windows starts to throw low memory warnings and starts to close programs automatically.
If you restart the SSR service, the "Modified" memory is immediately released and the system is back to normal until more backups run. I noticed this issue long ago, but simply had a script to restart the SSR service each morning. That used to be enough, but I am now running backups more often throughout the day, so the issue is more serious. I'm having to schedule the script to restart SSR every 4 hours. Not an elegant workaround for what seems like a serious bug. Any solutions?
