SSR 2011 and Fusion io drives

Hello,

I have a server running Windows Server 2008 Enterprise SP1 with 2 Fusion io drives (www.fusionio.com), set up as dynamic disks and mirrored in Windows.

I had one inexplicable server reboot during an incremental backup this morning.  Now I have an incremental backup sitting at 94% for a very long time.

Is there an issue with this type of drive or with the dynamic type and/or mirroring?

Any suggestions appreciated.

  • Afaik dynamic disks are supported, with some limitations.

    Regarding the reboot: Make sure you have SP1 applied, this should fix the reboot in 99% of the cases.
