SSR 2013 may conflict with bitlocker-driver

After install SSR2013 x64 on a win7 pro x64 machine, it got a EventID: 24620, "Encrypted volume check: Volume information on cannot be read". Usually the error message should include the failed volume name such as "Encrypted volume check: Volume information on \\?\Volume{493b7b29-3c88-4a67-ba13-bac8bbfcbf78}  cannot be read" but this one missing that, also there is NO drive have bitlocker enable.

Uninstall SSR2013 will no longer show this error.

  • Hm, interesting issue but already SSR 2011 was compatible with bitlocker: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/articles/symantec-system-recovery-2011-support-symantec-and-third-party-encryption-solutions

But maybe support can clarify the support for bitlocker with SSR 2013 ?
