Symantec Management Platform - Intalation isuess
Good Morning everyone,
So excited to ask you for the first time :) My customer is trying to get a tool to manage their hosts SSR.
They have multi-location, all around the EU, so it requires central management.
I did recommend to get Veritas System Recovery Management Solution.
Along to the Veritas information to use the mentioned product, they should have the Symantec Management Platform, which is the part of the Symantec IT Management Suite, right?
My custom gets the trial from the Symantec website to check if does it work, but he has an error occurred during the installation process.
For those who already use, could you please advice, at first something about the solution that the customer is looking for? Is it reliable, recommended? Symantec ITMS is little expensive when considering many hosts which have to be licensed.
And please say how to carry out installations of mentioned products, correctly :)

Symantec ITMS is little expensive when considering many hosts which have to be licensed.
Not sure what you mean by this? No Symantec license is required when using SMP with VSR-MS.
If you are only using SMP with the VSR Management Solution, you do NOT need an SMP license.
