btw i have some questions regarding Vault. I mean. how do you want it set up. do you guys have Iron Mountain customer number that i can configure it with. plus. the policies for the vault. how often do you want the ejects? daily basis weekly basis?
 you can just let me know your requirement. i'll configure it as per those points.

 what we need is a process that runs M-F to eject tapes around noon MST. 
it should have two ejects, done separately to keep them straight
one would eject any tapes from teh pool "logfiles"
then a separate one would eject any tapes from teh pool "netbackup"
 the logfile tapes stay on site, and the netbackup pool ( teh genarl pool ) go offsite

we want one catalog to go offsite, and one to stay here - so we need to add that to the one that goes offsite
My plan ( my hopeful plan ) would be to ahve the catalog daioy to disk, then one to tape - not sure if we can do that with the dedupe appliance etc or if we need 2 different backups

well, I have retentions that I want long-term, but we don't want those set unilt we go live or our testing will pile up on tapes, etc.

I set up a scratch pool and a barcode rule, so the robot now marks new tapes as scratch then allocates which is how we have alway handle them

alright. what i'll do is set up everything on 1 day period for now. then later we can change the retentions.
