CA Group Synchronization

Having an issue populating a new group in CA... I have created a new employee group that is synchronized by using a windows group (domain\group) as its source. This initially worked just fine. However I was later asked to add additional users, so a group was added within this group. While the people in the root of the group populate just fine, those in nested group do not. Is this scenario not supported?

Andrew,

Nested groups are supported.  I just tested this successfully in my 9.02 lab.  I tested with various nested groups up to three levels deep.

Did you ever get an answer back from support?

Hey Andrew,

I am not entirely certain the nested groups are expected to be expanded.  Unfortunately I can't find it documented one way or the other and my CA lab is down right now so I can't test.

You might have to ping support to get an official yay or nay.

Hey Tony -

I have a case open, but support has been unable to verify yet either...

I'll keep you posted...
