Compliance Accelerator - Temp folder

Can anyone tell me what the purpose of the .cmdline, .err, and .out files that are located in the C:\Windows\Temp folder on our compliance server.

We are in the process of performing a server replacement with new hardware, and I'm receiving an error when looking at old searches. This is in our test environment, and I'm trying to look at old mail from a previous search, but it receives an error that says it cannot locate a .cmdline file.

So I'm just curious as to what these files are for because we have thousands of these on our production server and I'm trying to decide if I need to backup these up and restore them on the new server to get the older searches to work.

Thanks for the help.

Tom

Tom,
I would make sure authenticated users have full control of the temp folder location.

That sounds like a permission issue I used to see alot.

Tom,

Those are not files that we use or place into the temp folder.

Every time we call to preview an item, we will place a file in the temp folder as it is a cache for the preview.

If you are receiving the error, then it is not related to CA
