Data Insight enables you to add tags to files that are archived to Enterprise Vault. These tags make it faster to search for the files archived from Data Insight in Enterprise Vault. When Enterprise Vault archives and indexes a file, the tag is included in the index of the file.  When you search the archive, the search is carried out on the tags that are attached to the file rather than the entire Enterprise Vault database.

 You can add any number of tags to a file. For example, you may want to tag files that belong to a certain department in your organization as HR or Admin. Or, you may want to add a descriptive tag such as Older than three years.

 You can add tags when configuring Data Insight reports that support archiving. Only a user with the Server Administrator or a Report Administrator role can add  tags to files being archived.
