In the series articles of Exchange Backup and Restore we show you step by step configuration of taking the backup and restore of Microsoft Exchange MailBoxes and Microsoft Information Store via Veritas Netbackup 6.5. in part-I we show how do we take the backups of Microsoft Information Store and in other parts we will show you the restore activity.

Exchange Backup of Information Store via Netbackup 6.5

Create policy




Policy Name



Policy Type



Select Storage Unit
Note:- if you wish to know how to create and configure Disk Storage Unit you can see the below mentioned link of document

Make Schedule so at that time the Backup of Exchange Information Store can triger
Click on NEW to create Schedule



Write Schedule Name




Select the time and day on which the Backup will triger



Here the Schedule is created




Click on NEW for selecting the Exchange Server



Click on the Red highlighted button




Select your Exchange Server from the Network






Click on NEW to select the Exchange Information Store



Select the Microsoft Information Store



Here the Microsoft Information Store has been selected
(Now the policy is ready to take the Backup of Exchange Information Store)
