Combining Corporate Responsibility with innovative data management solutions, the Veritas Manufacturing and Supply Chain team worked closely with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and partners to attain ENERGY STAR certification for NetBackup 5340, Access 3340, and Flex 5340 Appliances.

ENERGY STAR qualified products and practices help reduce greenhouse gas emissions by meeting strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy.

Veritas became an ENERGY STAR partner in 2016, demonstrating its commitment to offering products and services that help customers worldwide conserve energy and reduce their environmental impact. The Veritas Manufacturing and Supply Chain team included sustainable product requirements to meet ENERGY STAR standards in the design and architecture of all future products.

The NBU5340, Access 3340 and Flex 5340 Appliances provide a solution by reducing energy usage and cooling costs. Also, having ENERGY STAR certified appliances is the first step towards obtaining ENERGY STAR certification for data centers.

Energy consumption is a growing concern for customers looking to reduce costs along with their carbon footprint, and understanding and addressing the matters that matter most to our customers is a meaningful part of #LifeAtVeritas.
