Backup Exec 3600 Appliance End of Sale FAQ

I happens from time to time that Backup Exec 3600 Appliance stop working. Normally , a reboot and/or restart of services will fix the problem. We have done it several times, and it fix the problem each time. Almost. Last year we had a simular problem, the dedup device went offline. We tried to reboot/restart services. It doesn't help. So we google about it on net. One article mentioned somethng about a specifc file that can cause problems with dedup device. We renamed/removed the file, and then restarted the services. The server start working again.
Problem this time, I cannot remember the file name. Hope someone can help me with it
...is your appliance on the latest version? Run the update tool on it and check...without a specific error message, troubleshooting becomes a bit difficult here.
Do you still have maintenance for your Appliance?
Hopefully you do and have already logged a Sev 1 call with Veritas?
Do you have duplication to tape in place?
