How to update Backup Exec Appliance with no internet connection?

HI,

As it is in the title: I have a Backup Exec 3600 R2 Appliance which is not connected to the internet - and unfortunatelly it has to stay that way, I've downloaded installation package of SP2 and now in what way should I install it? I've searched the BE options for somenthig like "offline updates" but I found nothing ;)

Please help :)

Hi,

I suspect that you would need to patch it manually and this seems like it is only available after logging a call directly with Symantec technical support. Check the TN below for an example on this:

I think there is no way to update SP2 without Internet.

Because yesterday i have updated the SP3 through Live update.

...not sure why you would say that. SP2 is installable via LiveUpdate or a manual download. The 3600 appliance is seriously locked down which MIGHT explain why the OP is having issues.

But SP1, SP2, SP3 and any new SP will all be installable via a manual install, or LiveUpdate.
