Hi!
Im trying to upgrade to BE2014, i have downloaded the files and extracted the iso to USB-menory.
Do i need to have the ISO on USB-memory or why does the upgrade try to verify ISO-checksum? (i have followed the instructions and it says nothing about puting the ISO on USB-stick)

Well, I would have it on something external and not on 1 of the volumes of the appliance itself.

As per the TN below you need the ISO image on a non-bootable USB drive, so it is a requirement:

Thanks!

The first line states:- One 16GB or larger non-bootable USB flash drive, or a network share

So its not mandatory for a USB drive, if you are using a network share.

why does the upgrade try to verify ISO-checksum?

To verify the integrity of the installer.

You do not need the downloaded ISO on the USB flash drive, just the files extracted from this. Same goes for if you are using a network share to upgrade from. For the checksum check is as per previous comment.

Using a networkshare does not work for us! Take the USB flashdrive, if you can...
