MSX 2007 has been uninstalled and we are attempting to remove all links to Backup Exec 2010.
I was able to remove obvious links (folders and resources) but, BE2010 failed with the below message:-
Backup- CBBBD-M3-MEU02.wi.cibc.com
- AOFO: Initialization failure on: "Microsoft Information Store". Advanced Open File Option used: Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).
Snapshot provider error (0x80004005): Unspecified error
Check the Windows Event Viewer for details
From the Managed selection listing:-
1. I removed the Server name from Favourite resource
2. removed all folders relating to MSX Server from thr View Selection Details panel.
Obvious, I have not complete the deregistration process properly. What else am I missing?
Please advise

Hi,
Backup Exec still had a selection list. Go into this and check if there are any entries for the server in question and remove them.
Thanks!

80004005 is a generic access denied message which can mean anything from requested object does not exist in the specified location through to anti-virus blocking access or lack of security access/permissions to a requested object.
As such The suggestion of checking selections is valid - but you should also look at a number if other things
