Hello. We're consistently receiving the "0xe00084af - The directory or file was not found, or could not be accessed" error when attempting to backup one particular Win03 file server.

I've attempted all of the articles at: http://eventlookup.veritas.com/eventlookup/EventLookup.jhtml?EvtID=V-79-57344-33967

The BE Remote Agent has been reinstalled several times.

5520 Hotfix 1 will not install on the file server "the program to be upgraded may be missing..."

We're not using AOFO.

We're testing on one small folder - backup data size should not be an issue.

Services are all running under a unique AD account with sufficient privlidges (same acount works on all other servers being backed-up).

File server backup log ends with:

I'm also having the same problem, but on multiple servers!

Could it be related to the fact we've just upgraded our Windows 2003 servers to R2?

Hi Bryan,

We would suggest:

The Backup Exec Version 10.1 build 5629 is the latest version of Backup Exec.

* Start the installation over the existing installation. You need not uninstal the earlier version.

You only need to reinstall the remote agents:
