Recently installed Blackberry services on a 2003 server running exchange, now backupexec services wont start and I get the followin message;
The Backup Exec Device & Media Service service depends on the following nonexistent service: MSSQL$BKUPEXEC
I've tried various things which include;
BEutililty to drop the database and load from base. Fails - Error: The database linkage is bad.
Removing backupexec - fails, it says it cant remove the database as it cant connect, if you respond yes to carry on it appears to uninstall before asking the same question again at which point it rolls back the uninstall regardless of the response.

So at the moment, it doesnt work, I cant remove it or reinstall it.
Any help much appreciated.
