1602 error during installation

 I had BE installed on a machine, which we then renamed, which broke things.  I attempted to reinstall and uninstall, and am now in a state where BE won't install.  I've attempted to remove all the traces of BE and SQL Server Express that I can find from the file system and the registry, but clearly I've missed something.  I'd welcome any suggestions, either for what to look for or how to get some more specific information out of the installation about what the failure is.

Check the Symantec TN below on how to completely uninstall BE...

Once done, try the installation again.

This seems to Be generic from the error code MSI 1602 Means:

ERROR_INSTALL_USEREXIT   1602   User cancel installation.

Could You Upload the Entire bkupinst.htm or txt file .

You can ref To the above Article to Clear out the traces of the BE install.

Often this error will be generated when you have jobs running and are trying to upgrade. In order to determine if that is the case, it would be helpful to see the install log prior to the list of properties.

You can find the install log in the following locations.
Windows 2008 and above:
C:\programdata\symantec\backup exec\logs\bkupinst.htm

Windows 2003 and below:
C:\documents and settings\all users\application data\symantec\backup exec\logs\bkupinst.htm
