We just recently install Backup Exec 2012. We have two licences for the Agent for Application and Databases. We are using the CAS option to control a couple Backup Exec servers. Do I need to setup or configure on the backup job to use this agent for our Exchange servers or is that only used for the restoring emails? I am not sure how this agent works if it separatly needs to be installed on the Exchange server or not.
Now onto the error.
We started doing backups of one of our Exchange servers last week and it seems like all was well until I received the error message below yesterday.
The Backup Exec Agent for Microsoft Exchange was not used to create the last full backup of this database. You must use the Exchange Agent to run a full backup before you run a differential or incremental backup.
The weird part is it did create the last full backup using the Backup Exec Agent and it did complete successfully or so it tells me. Any ideas?
