2 update/upgrade questions

We have not updated since installing Backup Exec for NetWare 9.0 Build 636N04175.

1. How far can I update without it being considered an new product upgrade?

2. Who/where do I contact if the serial number that I have does not work?

At what point do I have to pay. In a news group I found that 9.1 is an update that I would have to pay for as opposed to the most I could update to was another build.

You should be aware that this is no longer officially supported by Symantec/Veritas.
