sorry for appearing lazy here but my boss has asked me to justify upgrading the Backup Exec 12.5 installation currently in place. I have heard that with the new version the VCB proxy is not required. Can anyone quickly explain the process of the new AVVI agent, with our current setup the VCB snaphots the VM, exports to Media server and backup runs. What has changed with new version? Does VM get mounted on media server? Are limitations with independent disks still in place?
