2010 Remote Agent install failing on Forefront TMG

Hi All I am trying to install the BackupExec 2010 remote agent onto a server 2008 R2 machine running ForeFront TMG 2010 but it keeps on failing.

I have tried a few suggestions from the forum but with no joy.

You better install the agent manually on this server.

Logon to the TMG server, browse to the server where BE is installed.

You can find the agent in the following folder:

\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\Agents

After installation, make sure the agent can communicate with the BE Media Server.

It is possible to relax security settings to allow the agent to be installed from the BE console, but as ZeRoCOOL says, it's better (and easier) to install the agent manually on the TMG box.

Then open the required ports from the TMG box to the BE media server.

Hi I have allowed lower security from internal to the TMG server but still fails.

I have also tried installing the agent manually.

Still no joy

Can you please show the exact error message when manually installing the Backup Exec agent ?
