On March 10 our AD domain was migrated to Windows 2003 native mode.
Shortly after our backups quit backing up the system state on our servers. The message we get is access denied.
These servers being backed up reside in another domain. That domain is NT 4.0. The backup service account is located in the AD domain and has domain admin rights in the NT 4.0 domain.
The backup software is Veritas Backup Exec 8.5
Has anyone heard about problems like this and maybe a fix? We were able to move one of our backup servers into the AD domain and that appears to have fixed the problem. However, we have another backup server that doing this to will not be possible.
