99% complete and tape ejects?

Hi folks,
I'm trying a simple test backup job, and I have the options set to eject the tape upon completion and after verification of the job. Unfortunately, for some strange reason the tape ejects when the backup job gets to 99% verification...so ultimately the job fails. Any suggestions on why it's doing this?
