ADBO offhost backup and Exchange 2007 on NetApp

Hi,
I'm having a problem with offhost backups of my Exchange Server.
The exact job error is described in this article:
http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/274441.htm
however i use BE2010 and Exchange 2007 and the article is about BE10 and Ex2003

Unfortunately the resolution provided in the article does not apply, because i already have all my Exchange data on snapable shared volumes.

Here is my infrastructure:
FC SAN based on NetApp 2040 matrix (Data Ontap 7.3.2) and Brocade Switches.
Exchange 2007 SP2 in CCR cluster based on Windows 2008 SP2 x64 Enterprise Editions
Backup Exec 2010 with ADBO and Exchange Agent based on Windows 2008 SP2 x64 Enterprise Edition
Exchange data resides on an array, logs are on Lun1 on Volume1 and database files are on Lun1 Volume2.
Volume1 and Volume 2 are on the same matrix, but they use two different RAID groups (in NetApp it's called aggregates)
I do have hardware VSS providers installed on Exchange cluster servers and on Backup Exec Server.
Account used for backup have all the necessary permissions on Exchange, AD and on the matrix.
Backup is performed directly to a Quantum Scalar i500 library.
I do have everything configured as described in Administrators Guide book.

Everytime i launch a backup job i can see that snapshots of these volumes are created and then mounted to the Media Server.
But in the end i get an error mentioned in an above document and the snapshots are not deleted. i have to delete them manually. backup fails.

Did anyone managed to configure offhost backups for Exchange 2007 ?
Can anyone tell me how can i resolve my problem ?

Thanks in advance,
Roch

NetApp is not on the HCL for Off-host Backup.

Since it's not been tested nor certified, you are treading on shaky ground...

NetApp and a couple of other companies just dont play nice nor integrate with backup apps.  They would rather you buy more storage from them and arrays, so you can snap and snapmirror.

Little update...
I managed to go forward with the problem.
My backup job runs, snapshot is created on exchange volumes, transported and mounted on Media Server.
Unfortunatelly when first bytes are beeing written to the tape, beengine.exe crashesh.

The application log shows an event:

Faulting application name: bengine.exe, version: 13.0.2896.106, time stamp: 0x4b69e355

Any ideas on this one ?
