Currently, both server / agent is running BE 2010 R3 sp3.
BE 2015 supportted to backup with BE 2010 R3 sp4 agent.
Since large number of server is running I can't migrate all within one day.
Thus I am planning to upgrade all agnet first (from BE 2010 R3 sp3 to sp4), but server keep R3 sp3.
Will 2010 R3 sp3 server support 2010 R3 sp4 agent ?
Thanks

Is either of your current Backup Exec server running a 32bit operating system as BE 15 will not install on 32bit (as a Backup Exec Server, the remoet agent will run on 32bit for backing up)
Also check the HCL and SCL carefully for older applications and hardware in your environment as you should understand what is and is not supported as part of your upgrade plans

Both BE server running 64-bit OS.
I have checked compatibility list.
Since many agents are 2010 R3 sp3 only but BE2015 compatible with 2010 R3 sp4, so I am woundering update agent to 2010 R3 sp4 or directly update to 2015 agent.

Any migration step could provide ??
For example, backup files / stop service required ?

Check the TN below:

I'd recommend stopping the BE services (incl. the SQL service running the BEDB) and make manual copies of the Data/Catalogs folders before proceeding with the upgrade. This allows you to rollback.
Thanks!

1. Yes
2. If you uninstall either BE 2010/2012 then all your jobs and other settings will be gone. If you just run the BE 15 installation, then your jobs and other settings will be migrated to BE 15.

Thanks for answer.
But I have to update BE2010 R3 sp4 before migration.
