Iam testing out how to restore active directory, i have restarted the DC in Directory Services Restore Mode, and now when i go to restore the system state and the service state i get the following error:

Job ended: Wednesday, 5 April 2006 at 11:26:27 AM
Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xe000848c - Unable to attach to a resource. Make sure that all selected resources exist and are online, and then try again.
Final error category: Resource Errors

For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-33932

The link in this error is usless as it does not say anything about being in Directory Services Restore Mode or anything to do with AD.

Could someone please let me know how i can do this. thanks.

Hi Luca. I have had exactly the same problem. See my thread http://forums.veritas.com/discussions/thread.jspa?threadID=61650&tstart=90 . Interistingly I haven't been answered by any symantec\veritas employees given that we have exactly the same problem. Whatever happens I will keep you posted on whatever progress I make.
