Actualisation des supports

Bonjour,

- server dell T610, lecteur de bande powervault LTO4-120HH

- Backup exec v12 SP5 + correctifs

- support reconnu

Merci d'avance pour vos idées

I assume that you have installed all the latest fixes to your BE.  Re-install the driver of your tape drive by going to Tools --> Wizards --> Device Wizard and try your inventory job again.  Doing an inventory job should not hang BE.

After you insert a new tape into your tape drive, you need to run an inventory job on the tape drive before it will show the label of the new tape.

the inventory job start but after a few moment the "state job" is "blocked communication" (communication bloquée) and nothing happens.

In the job property we have :

Etat : Serveur suspendu

After a services restart the label is showed...

To eliminate any hardware errors,

1) Stop all the BE services

2) test your tape drive with the manufacturer's disgnostic utility.  Make sure that you select the write test.
