Hi,

using BE 2014 Capacity Edition (no appliance). Now adding Hyper-V option from licenses in MBES server. Installation hungs to "Install Error" like this:

The user name domain\account for the Backup Exec service account does not have administrator rights on the central administration server xxx (which is CASO). Check the credentials and try again.

Checked the permissions, communicationt are enabled on each CASO and MBES servers.

What next ? Any ideas ?

Make the MBE stand alone, add the agent/option, then add it back into the CASO setup.

Are both MBE and CASO using the same Service Acccount for the Backup Exec services?

If they are not then change this and use this account when connecting in (including login to the console of the windows erevr using the same account)

Also hahave any firealls been implemented (software or hardware) that might block communication btewen MBE and CAS servers (for instance only allowing specific ports) if yes then try allowing al ports for testing.

If the above does not help then you may need to open a formal support case for a more in depth anaysis.

Both MBE and CASO using the same Service Acccount for the Backup Exec services. I think there is no firewall between those servers.
