After Installing Symantec Endpoint Protection Symantec Backup exec gets stuck discovering devices

Today I installed Symantec Endpoint Protection Client on my Backup Exec 2012 Server.

After I did this the devices tab got stuck discovering devices and I couldn't format my tapes ready for the weekends backups.

After I removed Symantec Endpoint Protection this problem went away.

Is there any way to get Symantec Endpoint Protection to work on the same server as Backup Exec?

Hi, I am not sure what version of Symantec Endpoint Protection you are using but use the following document to help make exclusions for the Backup Exec Processes http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH168940

Should not be a problem to have backup exec and SEP on the same system. Please try this document after Installing SEP and see if this fixes the Issue
