Hi
I have installed Raws on our exchange server and i have scheduled backup jobs.
Backup job are successful.
i want to restore a mailbox, after restore job Backup Exec tries to restore on a server that is no longer available because we had Exchange 2007 and now we have migrated to Exchange 2010 so the restore job fails.
after that i have created a new restore job with redirecting to our exchange server that RAWS is installed but again restore job fails and tries to restore to a server that our OWA is installed on that server and RAWS is not installed on that server so the restore job fails with the following Error that i have attached can you please help me? I think that there are some records about the exchange servers that are no longer available in active directory
thanks

For Exchange 2010 , Restoring Single Objects works through EWS, Hence the remtoe agent needs to be installed on all the Exchange seerver wich includes the HUB and CAS servers.
Ref To the article below for the requrirements:

Are you using a redirect restore option or just simply selecting the mailbox and performing a restore ?

...I think that you're going to get a failed restore everytime. There are possibly differences between 2007 and 2010.
In this case, it's probably better to duplicate the Information Store to disk and get hold of a 3rd party application to pull that data out of the *.edb flat file and into a *.pst...

...not sure who marked me down, but maybe read the following discussion on restoring Exchange 2007 data into Exchange 2010! It will possibly help you understand why I said what I did...discussions like these have been doing the rounds on Connect!
Thanks!

OK...so the error shown is that the remote agent isn't running.
1. Is the RAWS agent installed on that target server, and if so, is it publishing correctly to the media server?
2. If you're running firewalls, are the required ports open to allow the media server and RAWS agent to communicate?

3. Is the RAWS agent started up on the remote server?
4. Make sure your account used for the restore has rights in Exchange to do so...

Thanks!
