Try these technotes:

http://support.veritas.com/docs/275032
http://support.veritas.com/docs/275017

This issue is could also occur due to a failure to register the Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\schedmgrur.dll library.

To register this file, perform the following.

1. Open a command prompt by clicking Start | Run, typing cmd, and pressing the ENTER key

2. Change the directory to the Backup Exec\NT folder by typing the command cd /Program Files/Veritas/Backup Exec/NT and pressing

3. Register the library by typing regsvr32 schedmgrur.dll and pressing .

4. If registered correctly, the message "DllRegisterServer in schedmgrur.dll succeeded" will be displayed.

Hi there,

Does Backup Exec uses existing SQL instance? If this is the case, then we request you to re-install Backup Exec by creating the default Backup Exec MSDE instance instead on installing on existing SQL instance.

Thank You.
