I am excited to announce the release of our new Backup Exec offering - Veritas Backup Exec Subscription, which is now available, as well as a public preview of the integration of Veritas Information Map with Backup Exec.
With this new release, customers can benefit from a new subscription-based model that radically simplifies their buying experience which is also aligned to how customers consume the cloud. In addition, Backup Exec customers will be able to utilize Veritas Information Map* to visualize their data in real-time across a wide-array of data sources, which can help ensure compliance and provide insights that can lead to better business outcomes.

Backup Exec Subscription in detail
Bringing the agility and fast-paced innovation of cloud computing, Backup Exec subscription licensing and pricing provides a simplified model that's easier than ever to scale at any size. It gives customers access to our award-winning unified data protection solution with upgrades and new feature releases rolled into a single, term subscription license. With low annual payments, customers can stay current all the time, taking advantage of the latest features and enhancements. There are three options to choose between: Bronze, Silver and Gold. Subscription licenses will be available on a one, two or three-year term payable up front and are licensed based on capacity (front-end TB). Backup Exec also continues to offer capacity, per socket (V-Ray), and a la carte licensing options. Exceptional data visibility with Information Map integration
The public preview of the integration of Veritas Information Map with Backup Exec is also now available! Information Map helps customers gain insight into their data - across physical, virtual, and cloud by providing an interactive, real-time view of your unstructured data assets. It visualizes data across 23 data sources for both on-premises and cloud-based data storage repositories.
