Are there limits to sizing of backup to disk folders?

I am trying to place a single 4TB array as my backup to disk folder and keep to get I/O errors and BUEXEC does not seem to undertake any operations. I have run a test of the job and it seems to complete sometimes but not always. BUEXEC had no issues trying to write to the exact same array when it had 2TB of space but I have now upgraded the drives to 400 gb drives and pushed the size to 4TB. Windows 2003 has set up the array as a single partition and has no issues writing files or folders to it. Are there technical limits on the total size of a single backup to disk folder?

I would suggest you read this technote.

What should be considered before changing the default size of Backup To Disk files.

There is no size limitation for the backup to disk folders in backup exec. If you are receiving some I/O related errors, please create a new backup to disk folder for the same backup and observe the results. You may also use chkdsk utility to check for errors on the drive.
