. I would kindly request for your help, I have installed Backup Exec 2010 R2 on Windows Server 2008,
Iniatially it was running OK and the scheduled backups were running perfectly.
Last week another program was installed that is using Microsoft .net 4 instead of .net 3.5 that I was using,
Since then, every time i try to open the Backup Exec GUI, this the error am getting.
A severe application error has occurred.

When iI close the error message, I get a window that “Connecting to the Media Server”
This makes the System to Hung and can only close it via a Task Manager. Since then have tried to do a Repair Install that hasn’t worked so far.
