BE 12 agents

I have BE11 runnong in Windows 2003 server. I am in process of upgrading to BE 12. Do I need to upgrade
the agents running on the servers as well? if so, do I need to reboot the servers or can I just stop and start the agent service?

A v12 medai server should talk to v11d Remote Agents with no problem, but this is only supported "for the purpose of rolling upgrades" so you will need to upgrade all your RAWS to v12
 
Restarting the service should be enough, but you will still want to re-boot as soon as you can
