BE 2010 R2 on Server 2008 R2 Standard x64 Intel Xeon
Our nightly backup is not running to completion about once a week. It's a backup to disk operation.
The backup pass completes successfully, but the verify pass seems to go into an endless hours long loop. This has happened twice so far, and I've had to kill the job both times after about 6 or 7 hours (the whole job backup and verify should take 1.5 hours max).
I was able to watch it this time while in the loop.
Task manager reports beremote.exe running at 25% CPU, nothing else running.
BE Job Activity says:
Current operation: Verify
Destination: System?State
Current directory: \_SharedHardlinkData_
Current file: e8325d43.10000.7980 (this changes, all files seem to have the same naming convention)
Statistics:
Files: goes up
Bytes: goes up
Estimated time remaining: 0:00:00 (stays constant)
I saw a post regarding this, but the answer was sent in a private message.
