BE 2010 R2, missing tape id

Installed BE 2010 R2 on a virtual Server 2008 R2 (VMware) cannot identify DLT IV tapes.

I can label a tape on my Quantum SCSI drives, and the tape is correctly shown in the media list.

Aftern a reboot, the tape get recognised as "" (no label) and imported foreign tape of unknown type.

Backups to disk work fine. But how to get running backups to tape, which can be restored?

There are some very strict criteria when you virtualise your media server.  You have to make sure that the criteria are met.  See the document below.
