Hi Forum,
we´re currently preparing the migration towards Sharepoint 2010. It is a 3 Tier Farm, with 2 Web Fron End Server and 2 Application Servers + SQL in the Backend. We purchased a new Agent for Sharepoint and installed it.
I´m able to browse to the farm and all SPS Servers are listed here.
But if i check the Farm at the Top Level, it appears that all ressources below are checked - that behavior is normal.
When trying to backup the Farm it fails with
Final error: 0xe000031a - Unable to query the team database metadata. Final error category: Resource Errors
Backup- User Profil Application\Proxy (ULM1-SPS-SQL\bdf1160d-e49f-4dd1-afb3-784cc883f2ab)
V-79-57344-794 - Error: Unable to query the Team database meta-data.
one of the BE provided Links point out to a HF 159293 (http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH154530&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&searchid=1316597331718)
This HF was installed on the Media Server - this does not resolve the Backup Issue.
The next BE Article point towards excluding the User Profile Service Application\Proxy (http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH166575&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&searchid=1316597435551)
and now comes the weird part.....
If i want to deselect the User Profile Service Application\Proxy from the Farm selection lists, the Top Level "Microsoft SharePoint Server Farms" is checked with a "/" for particular selection - BUT the SPS10 Farm is complete unchecked even if in the "View Selection Details" all SPS Servers are listed including \*.+ /SUBDIR
So how can i uncheck a selection that isn´t there?
Tried already recreating the Selection List - same behavior....
Does anyone out there was facing similar Problems - ANY Suggestions are welcome!!!
